Ferron Sr., died Monday, April 9, 2001, at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 5, 1909, in Woonsockett, R.I., daughter of the late Ettore Amedeo and Annetta (Cavedon) Spagnolo, she was a 1930 graduate of the Katherine Gibbs School of Business in Boston, and had been employed by her grandfather at the Falls Yarn Mills in Woonsocket for years. She had been a Manchester resident for more than 50 years. Mrs. Ferron was also a longtime active member of St. Bartholo-mew Church in Manchester. Besides her husband, Mrs. Ferron is survived by two sons, Arthur F. Ferron Jr. and Robert A. Ferron, both of Manchester; a grandson, Tyler C. Ferron of Manchester; a sister, Angelina Maher of Noank; three nieces, Yolanda M. Carroll, Nina M. Hunter, and Elissa M. Grady; and a nephew, Gerald Ferron. "Aunt Enie" also had many grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews, who all knew her and loved her. A funeral service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 E. Center St., Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Church, 45 Ludlow Road, Manchester. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today, April 10, at the funeral home.
