Gudaszewski Navy Vet of WW II Henry John Gudaszewski of Broad Brook Rd., Hazardville, died Friday in Enfield. He was born on April 16, 1911, in Scranton, Pa., son of the late Anthony and Joanna (Stefaniak) Gudaszewski, and was the husband of Mrs. Anna (Hietala) Gudaszewski. A Navy veteran of World War II, he had been employed as a construction worker with the Clapp Construction Co. The funeral Monday at the Somers Funeral Home was conducted by the Rev. Andrew Ventraska. Military honors were extended by non-commissioned officers of Co. D. 242d Engineering Battalion (Combat) Conn. Army National Guard. They were: 1st Sgt. Robert E. Pelligrinelli, SFC Ralph S. Mixer, S-Sgt. Robert V. Aldrich, S-Sgt. Clayton J. Tardie, Sp-6 Robert J. Getty, and S-Sgt. Edward F. Cwikla, buglar. Civilian bearers were Victor Wysocki, John Orson, Charles LaFountain, Anthony Romano, Michael Aleskwicz and Julian Storozuk. Mr. Gudaszewski leaves his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Heim of Thompsonville; a son, William A. Gudaszewski at home; a sister, Mrs. Frank Sypeck of Enfield; two step-sisters, Mrs. John Hughes and Miss Josephine Lazinski, both of Hazardville; two brothers, Edward of Holyoke and John Gudaszewski of Thompsonville; and four step-brothers: Anthony Lazinski of Pittsfield, Stanley of Scitico, Lody and Benjamin Lazinski, both of Hazardville. *********************************************** Copyright.
