Ginocchio, of West Street, Windsor Locks, beloved husband for 32 years of Gloria (Poggi) Ginocchio, died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at Hartford Hospital. Bob was born in New York, son of the late Joseph and Ida (Isola) Ginocchio and had lived at his home at "Winlox Farm" most of his life. He was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School, Class of 1943, and served with the Seabees during World War II. He had been employed by Otto Epstein Plumbing and Heating in Hartford before his retirement. He was a member of Union Local 777, Plumbers and Pipefitters, both national and local. Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, Lorraine Pearce and her husband, Albert, of Windsor Locks; 10 nieces and nephews, Robert and James Pearce, Loralyn Cooper, Barbara Treue, John Dono, Carol Gross, Jane O'Rourke, Mary Lanicki, Susan Majeski, and Allison Kenny; 17 great-nieces and great-nephews; and his faithful companion, Gretchen. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:15 a.m. Monday, May 14, at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, for a procession to St. Mary Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in St. Mary Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 13, at the funeral home.
