Born on March 9, 1937, in Willimantic, the daughter of Katherine and the late Stanley Sawyer, Jenny had resided in the East Hartford area most of her life. Besides her husband, Jenny is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosemarie and Edward Curtin of East Hartford; and her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Rebecca Kenny of Pensacola, Fla., her son, David Kenny of Manchester, and her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jane Kenny of Pensacola. Jenny also is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Geraldine and Ronald Webster of Canaan, Vt., Barbara and Dennis McClure of Willimantic, and Elsie and Robert Hart of Canaan, Maine; her brother, Stanley Sawyer Jr. of Willimantic; her grandchildren, Tony, Donny, David, Brenda, Melissa, Beth-Ann, A.J., Justin, and Ethan; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Jenny was a courageous woman who will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. Jenny's family would like to acknowledge the special care and compassion given by the staff at Hartford Hospital and Hartford Transplant Associates. Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m., with a prayer service at 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
