Hambach Jr., who turned 88 on March 31, 2003, of Rockville, passed away in his sleep on Sunday, April 6, 2003. Mr. Hambach was employed by Chandler Evans Corporation for forty years before his retirement in 1980. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He leaves his devoted wife of 58 years, Julia (Buszta) Hambach; his daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and John Keegan of Ashford, Gloria and Millett Day of Lyman, Maine, Loretta and Greg Gailius of Newton, Mass.; his three granddaughters, Meara Zaheer of Wrentham, Mass., Alison Keegan of Arlington, Va., Vanessa Gailius of Newton, Mass. He was predeceased by his son, George M. Hambach. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 9, at 11 a.m. at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
