(Serignese) Jean, 77, of Windsor, widow of Paul Jean, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at home. Born in East Hartford, she had lived in Windsor for 50 years. She was employed by the Pratt & Whitney division of United Technologies before retiring. Mrs. Jean was a communicant of St. Gertrude Church, an active participant and volunteer at the Windsor Senior Center, and had also done competitive ballroom dancing. She leaves a son, Ronald Jean and his wife, Linda, of Roanoke, Va.; two daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Paul Bertrand of Broad Brook and Pat and Jeffrey Folger of Ellington; a brother, Michael Serignese of East Lyme; a sister, Christine Tiberio of South Windsor; and four grandchildren, Eric, Jason, Nicole, and Danielle. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Serignese, and a sister, Mildred Stankiewicz. Family and friends may gather at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, followed by a scripture service at 10 a.m. at St. Gertrude Church, Windsor. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Her family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 11, at the funeral home.
