Johnson Lillian L. Johnson of Manchester died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born in Shelton, daughter of the late Laura and Harry Johnson, and had lived most of her life in Manchester. She was a graduate of South Manchester High School and Willimantic Normal School, now Eastern Connecticut State University. She received her bachelor of science degree from Eastern Connecticut College and her master's degree from the University of Hartford. Before her retirement in 1969, she was a teacher at Nathan Hale Elementary School for 37 years. Lillian was a member of St. Mary Episcopal Church, Manchester, Retired Teachers Association of Connecticut, and Retired Teachers Association of Manchester. She is survived by a brother, Russell H. Johnson of Manchester; a brother-in-law, Paul Sheridan of Meriden; a niece, Maureen (Sheridan) Iwanicki of Wallingford; three nephews, Paul Sheridan of Meriden, Kerry Sheridan of New Britain, and Mark Sheridan of Washington Depot; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Private funeral services were held Wednesday, April 18, at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 E. Center St., Manchester. Burial was in East Cemetery, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Church Book of Remembrance, 41 Park St., Manchester, CT 06040, or to a charity of the donor's choice. *********************************************** Copyright.
