Keish, retired U.S. Air Force colonel, 79, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, in Pantego, Texas. Col. Keish was born July 9, 1921, in Manchester. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years and flew combat missions during World War II in China and Burma with Gen. Claire Chenault's Flying Tigers. He also served in the Korean conflict and Vietnam. Col. Keish was a charter member and past president of the Pantego Lions Club, past president of the Lions Club Organ and Eye Bank, and past president of the 7th Bomb Wing B-36 Association. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeanne Keish of Pantego; his sons, Frederick C. Keish Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, and Kent Keish of San Antonio; granddaughters Nicole, MacKenzie, and Morgan; and grandson Frederick C. "Trey" Keish III. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Greenwood Chapel, Greenwood Funeral Home, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, with burial in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the funeral home reception center.
