Lessard, 57, of Vernon, husband of Gina (St. Germain) Lessard, died Thursday, May 3, 2001, at Hartford Hospital. Donald was born in Lewiston, Maine, and lived in Vernon for 25 years. He was an U.S. Marine Corp veteran and was employed at Phalow-CDT of Manchester. Donald was a member of Hartford Lodge of Elks No. 19 and of R.I.M.S. Besides his wife, he leaves two brothers, Laurence Lessard and Gerald Lessard; two sisters, Liane Asselin and Claudette Clark, all of Lewiston; his mother-in-law, Lena St. Germain of Warehouse Point; four sisters-in-law, Terry Weeks of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, Rudy St. Germain of Stafford Springs, Diane Schillinger of Vernon, and Doreen Doe of Feeding Hills, Mass.; two brothers-in-law, Reggie St. Germain of New Bern, N.C., and Ron St. Germain of Vernon; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 7, from the J.M. Bassinger Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip Church, East Windsor. Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery, East Windsor. Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at the funeral home.
