TITLE: Matthias LaGrange, Obituary, Jan 2, 1944 SUBMITTERS: Thompsonville Press Enfield, CT (issue Jan 6, 1944) FORMATTED: ABishop, Apr 2001 ***************************************************************************** Matthias LaGrange The funeral of Matthias LaGrange, 70, who died in the Sringfield Hospital Sunday afternoon (Jan 2, 1944), after a short illness of pneumonia, was held from the Leete Funeral Home yesterday afternoon, followed by services in the Methodist Church, with Rev. Ralph F. Seaver, Jr. officiating. Burial was in the Thompsonville Cemetery. Bearers were Fred, Perley, Ward and James Miller. Mr. LaGrange was born in Guilderland Center, N.Y., April 25, 1873, son of the late Nicholas and Mary Ann (Hart) LaGrange. He formerly resided for several years in Thompsonville, but of late years had made his home in River Boulevard, Suffield. He was a member of the Thompsonville Methodist Church and was active in the men's organizations. Besides his widow, the former Mary Miller, he leaves on son, Pvt. Harold LaGrange at Ft. Myers, Fla., and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine LaGrange of Voorhiesville, N.Y., and Mrs. Mary Clikman of Guilderland Center. *********************************************** Copyright.
