He was born in North Hudson, N.Y., and lived here for 70 years. He formerly was employed by Gilbert and Barker Manufacturing Co., formerly of Springfield, for 31 years as an electrical welder. He retired in 1955. He was a member of the Seveth Day Adventist Church of Springfield. He leaves a son, George A. LaGrange at home; three daughters, Grace Maddock at home, Mildred C. LaGrange at home, and Marjorie Cutler of Enfield; four brothers, Fred LaGrange and Albert LaGrange of Enfield, Richard LaGrange of Crown Point, N.Y., and Arthur LaGrange of Meriden; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral was Sept. 29 in Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels. Burial was in Enfield Street Cemetery. **NOTE** I believe there to be an error in this obituary listing. The brother listed as Richard of Crown Point should be Edward since William did not have a brother named Richard. *********************************************** Copyright.
