Laine Verlie C. Laine, 60, formerly of Enfield, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at a Bangor, Maine, health care facility, after a long illness. She was born in Fort Fairfield, Maine, on May 30, 1940, the daughter of Daniel and Gertrude (Brown) Brayson. She is survived by her stepmother, Agnes Brayson of Bangor; two sons, Lance D. and his wife, Brenda L'Aine, of Windsor Locks, Brett C. L'Aine of Raleigh, N.C.; three brothers, Murray Brayson of Enfield, Ronald Brayson of Medina, Ohio, and Gregory Brayson of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; an aunt, Stella Tuck of Bangor; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial was held Saturday, April 21, at Brown Funeral Home, Newport, Maine.
