Long Sr., and the late Jane (Fagan) Long, died suddenly on Friday, April 20, 2001, at home. Born in Hartford, she lived in Manchester most of her life. She had been a teacher in East Hartford. Besides her father she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John C. Jr. and Mary Long of Manchester; her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Rob Dolce of Springfield, Va.; her aunt Peg Daly and uncle Francis "Doc" Long; and her nieces and nephews, Susan, Maureen, and Maggie Long, and Andrea, Michael, and Christopher Dolce. A funeral service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, from John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester, with a Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m. at Church of the Assumption, Manchester. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 23, at the funeral home.
