Maher, who died last Thursday at her home, 8 Lafayette street, after a long illness, was conducted Saturday morning from the Leete Funeral Home, followed by service in St. Patrick's Church. Rev. Robert E. Shea celebrated the solemn high mass, assisted by the pastor, rev. William P. Kilcoyne, as subdeacon, ad rev. Willaim J. Gerrity, subdeacon. Miss Alice Liberty was soloist. Bearers were Mertin Mika, Roy Glidden, John D'Amato, Edward Underwood, Ernest Deford and John Dineen. Burail was in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Father Shea officiating at the grave. Mrs. Maher was born in New York on April 21, 1875, and had lived in this town for 42 years. She was the daughter of the late George and Rose (Byrnes) Savage. Her husband died last December. She leaves three sons, Raymond of Buffalo, Victor of Thompsonville and Harold, now serving in the Marine Corps; four daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Frigon, Mrs. Dorothy DeFord, Mrs. miriam Pumiglia and Miss Genevive Maher, all of Thompsonville; brother, thomas Savage of New York; and 12 grandchilden. *********************************************** Copyright.
