Murdock, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born Nov. 15, 1924 in Beckley, W.Va., she had been a Manchester resident since 1946. Prior to retiring, Wahnette had been employed by the Colonial Board-Lydall Corp. for many years. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church and the National AARP. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Peter Olshewski of Woodstock; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Carol Murdock of West Hartford; her sister, Zoe Anna Whitman of Beckley; and four grandchildren, Heather and Michelle Olshewski, and Jennifer and Jessica Murdock. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 E. Center St., Manchester. Burial will follow in the East Cemetery, Manchester. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 585 E.
