Martin Lester J. Martin, 83, of Malone, N.Y., passed away Friday, April 6, 2001, at Massena Memorial Hospital. Mr. Martin was a U.S. Army paratrooper veteran of World War II. Shortly after the war he started employment at Pioneer Parachute Co. in Manchester. He retired as production manager in 1983. He moved with his wife, Arlene, back to Malone. Besides his wife, surviving are four grandchildren; two nieces; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. There were no calling hours.
