(Welton) Nash Susan E. (Welton) Nash, 54, of Vernon, chief clerk of the Ellington Probate Court, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at Rockville General Hospital. She was born in Hartford, daughter of Annette (O'Brien) Welton of Fort Meyers, Fla., and the late Leland L. Welton. Susan went to work at Ellington Probate Court as an assistant clerk in 1984 and was appointed chief clerk in 1994. Besides her mother, she is survived by her grandson, Dustin R. Comeau; her daughter, Devon Manner and her fiance, Jeffrey N. Roberts, of Manchester; her brothers, David Welton of Ellington and Raymond Welton of Vista, Calif.; her sisters, Cynthia Witkewicz of Somers and Carolyn Cyr of Hudson, N.H.; and her other grandchildren, Kasandra Manner and Jeffrey Roberts. She was predeceased by her brother, Leland E. Welton. Graveside funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at North Cemetery, Tolland. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville.
