Janie was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Casey of Hartford. Janie graduated from Bulkeley High School in 1959. She and her husband of 38 years, Kenneth, moved from their Windsor Locks home to their residence of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., in 1994. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her brother, Richard of Naples, Fla.; her sister, Judy of Wethersfield; her daughters, Cheryl of Enfield and Lynn of Brunswick, Ohio; her husband's mother, Helen of Portland, Maine; and her grandsons, Joshua, Eric, Mark, Anthony, Russell, and Jake. A sunrise memorial service for Janie was held Saturday, April 21, at Sunset Beach, N.C.
