He was the husband of Norice (Stack) Neckermann. Born in New York, son of the late Leopold and Marie (Kruse) Neckermann, Leo had served in the Merchant Marine. He worked with Panama Canal Construction Co. and was the construction superintendent for L.M. Neckermann & Son. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Leo and Pauline Neckermann III of Columbia, William and Elaine Neckermann of Medina, Ohio, Marjorie and David Mairson of Tolland, and James and Carol Neckermann of Kensington; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be private. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville. There are no calling hours. Ladd-Turkington Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, Route 83, Vernon, has care of the arrangements.
