Oliveira Jr. Edward J. Oliveira Jr., 50, of Windsor Locks, died Friday, April 27, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born in Taunton, Mass., Edward lived in Windsor Locks for most of his life, graduating from Windsor Locks High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Edward owned and operated his own business, EBCO Express, and he was formerly employed at the Windsor Post Office and at the former Finast Distribution Center. He was a member of American Legion Gensi-Viola Post 36 in Windsor Locks. Edward is survived by his beloved daughter, Caly Rachael Oliveira, and her mother Beth Pye Oliveira; his mother, Rose (Terra) Oliveira of Windsor Locks; two brothers, Rick Oliveira of Windsor Locks and Robert Oliveira of South Windsor; two sisters, Robin Shlosser and her husband, Charlie, of West Suffield, and Joy Wagner and her husband, Richard, of Windsor; four nephews, Joshua, Seth, Ryan, and Michael; seven nieces, Gloria, Nicole, Erika, Terra, Melissa, Kellie, and Mariel; and a great-niece, Leah. Edward was predeceased by his father, Edward J. Oliveira Sr., and a brother, Ralph Oliveira. A funeral procession will begin at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, from Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, for a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Poquonock. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Windsor Locks. Edward's family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Edward J.
