O'Leary Lester D. O'Leary, 68, of Canborne Way, Suffield, beloved husband of Theresa (Courtney) O'Leary, died Easter Sunday, April 15, 2001, at home. Lester was born in Hartford, son of the late John T. and Florence (Seam) O'Leary. He grew up in Windsor Locks, graduated from Windsor Locks High School and Hillyer College, Hartford, and moved to Suffield in 1987. He was a certified public accountant with the firm of Gurne, Kaufman and Osit for 15 years, retiring in 1992 due to failing health. He was a member of Riverside Council 26 of the Knights of Columbus and a former member of Windsor Locks Lions Club. Besides Terry, his wife of 44 years, he is survived by two daughters, Dawn Schienda and her husband, Geoff, of Enfield, and Deborah Helbig and her husband, Allan, of Valencia, Calif.; a brother, Richard J. O'Leary of East Windsor; and his five grandchildren, Jason and Michael O'Leary, Nicole and Katie Schienda, and Gwen Helbig. Lester was predeceased by a son, Lester J. O'Leary, who died in January of this year; a daughter, Monica O'Leary, who died in 1966; and a brother, John W. O'Leary. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, for a procession to St. Mary Church, Windsor Locks, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Windsor Locks. Lester's family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the funeral home.
