Born in Enfield, Oct. 4, 1916, daughter of Frank and Rose Saverino, she had lived in East Hartford before moving to Broad Brook in 1984. Before retiring in 1980, she was employed by the former Cape Well Manufacturing Co. for 35 years. Mrs. Onofrio was a communicant of St. Philip Church, East Windsor, was a member of Broad Brook Senior Citizens, and enjoyed bingo. She leaves two daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille and Joel DeNigris of Enfield, and Deborah and Richard Harootunian of Cranston, R.I.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Daniel and Marie Onofrio of East Windsor and Frank Onofrio of Cranston; two sisters, Rose and Lucy Desmarais of Three Rivers, Mass.; three brothers, Paul Sevarino of West Hartford, Nicholas Sevarino of Enfield, and Frank Sevarino of Florida; six grandchildren, Jay DeNigris and his wife, Robin, Julii DeNigris, Christine, and Kevin Onofrio, and Jared and Nicole Harootunian; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Friday, April 20, at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Church, East Windsor. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Her family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at the funeral home.
