Price, 84, of Glastonbury, husband of Waunita S. Price, died Friday, May 11, 2001. He was born Aug. 21, 1916, in Lisbon, Ohio, son of the late David and Mary (Evans) Price, and had been a resident of Glastonbury since 1979. Thomas was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II as a surgical technician at Selfridge Field Army Hospital in Michigan and going on to be a medic with the U.S. Air Force for five years in the European Theater. He played high school and collegiate football at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He was a member of the Clinton Lodge No. 47 A.F. & A.M. in Massillon, Ohio, and was a member of the Sphinx Shrine Temple in Newington. Prior to his retirement in 1979, he had been employed with Republic Steel Corp. for more than 40 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sister, Virginia Price of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews in Ohio. He was predeceased by six brothers and a sister. The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 E. Center St., Manchester. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until the time of the service, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
