(Sferrazza) Pillitteri, 83, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 30, 2001. She was born in Naro, Italy, on Nov. 2, 1917, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria (DiRosa) Sferrazza, and was the widow of Biagio Pillitteri, who died in 1972. She was formerly employed by the former Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Co., Thompsonville, for 30 years and later with the former Steiger's Department Store, Enfield, for many years. Pauline was a member of St. Patrick Church, a former member of the Rinaldi-Fede Auxiliary Post No. 17 Enfield, and Sons of Italy. Pauline is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Betsy Pillitteri; and a daughter, Pat Price, all of Enfield; her beloved grandchildren, David Price and his wife, Melissa, Benjamin Price and his wife, Veronica, Polly Buvelot and her husband, Jason, all of Enfield, and Lee Pillitteri of Kittery, Maine; and her great-grandchildren, David Jr. and Courtney Price, and Joshua Buvelot. She also leaves a sister, Antonina Viola; a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Sam Fiore; and a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Josephine Sferrazza, all of Enfield; her sister-in-law, Josephine Sferrazza of Enfield, and sister-in-law Vincie Pillitteri of Long Island, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Rosario Sferrazza; a brother and sister-in-law, Angelo and Millie Sferrazza; a brother-in-law, Anthony Pillitteri and his wife, Felice; a brother-in-law, Paul Pillitteri; a brother-in-law, Steven Viola; and a sister-in-law, Jean Maiorana and her husband, Joe. A funeral service will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield (Exit 48 off I-91, east on Route 220 for 1¼ miles), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, at the corner of Pearl and High streets, Thompsonville. Committal services will be in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield. Pauline's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 1, at the funeral home.
