Herbert E. Russell

Herbert E. Russell, 67, of 360 South Main St., Suffield, president of Fuller-Russell
Tobacco Co. of Windsor Locks, dies Aug. 24 in Hartford Hospital.
Russell was co-founder of the tobacco plant with his father and William Fuller.
A lifelong resident of Suffield, he was a member of Apollo Lodge of Masons No. 59,
Washington Chapter 30, Suffield Council 23, all Scottish Rite Bodies of Hartford,
Sphinx Temple, and an honorary member of the Windsor Locks Rotary Club.  He was also
a member of Suffield Country Club and a former member of the Suffield Zoning Board.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Dorothy (Jether) Russell; a daughter, Mrs. Carol R. Dennis 
of Scottsdale Ariz., and two grandchildren.
A memorial service was Aug. 27 at First Church of Christ Congregational, with burial at
the convenience of the family.  Nicholson Funeral Home was in charge.
