She was the widow of Frederick I. Rogers, who died in 1973. Born and educated in Windsor, Mrs. Rogers was the daughter of Emily (Frances) and Clinton Porter Gregg. She lived in Manchester until 1969, when she and Mr. Rogers moved to West Dennis, Mass. She moved to Harwich Port, Mass., in 1986. In Manchester, she was an active member of South United Methodist Church and worked for many years at Lappen Insurance Agency. Upon moving to Massachusetts, she became an active member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Harwich Port. She also was a member of the Harwich-Dennis Branch of Cape Cod Hospital Auxiliary and the Garden Club of Harwich. She leaves two daughters, Janis R. Latham of Brewster, and Jean R. Pilcher of Burlington, Vt., formerly of Wellfleet, Mass.; a sister, June G. Shafer of Windsor; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held in early summer on a date to be announced.
