"Poncho" Rummel, 60, of East Street, Staffordville, died Friday, May 4, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford. He was born in Johnstown, Pa., the son of the late Theodore and Kathleen (LaFawan) Rummel. He was employed as a mason for 12 years with Enfield Builders and was a member of the Stafford Fish and Game Club. Poncho is survived by two sons, Ronald L. Rummel of Johnstown, and Terry L. Rummel of Enfield; two daughters, Anita Bracken and her husband, Ronald, and Alison Rummel, all of Johnstown; six grandchildren; two brothers, Ted Rummel, Ronald "Butch" Rummel, both of Stafford; a sister, Shirley Slavik of Texas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, with the Rev. Thomas Darling officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
