Roman Raymond J. "Ray" Roman, 59, of Simon Road, Enfield, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield. Beloved husband of Marie (Ledoux) Roman, he was born in Hartford, and had been an Enfield resident for the past 30 years. Ray was a computer analyst for Hamilton Standard for 33 years, retiring in 1998. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church, and a member of Suffield Sportsman's Club and VFW Smalley-Brothers Post 6123, Windsor Locks. Ray was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be missed. Besides his wife, Ray is survived by two sons, Mark Roman and Daniel Roman both of Enfield; a daughter, Deborah Eckenroth of Enfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Aline Roman of Ruchersville, Va.; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Baker of Enfield; three grandchildren, Michael and Kristin Eckenroth, and Ryan Roman; a niece; and three nephews. A funeral service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday, April 23, at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, Enfield, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Ray's family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at the funeral home.
