Spencer for 56 years, died Saturday, May 5, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Priscilla was born in Rockville and lived in Melrose for 50 years. She had worked for the Connecticut Highway Department, retiring in 1957. Priscilla enjoyed painting and playing the organ, and she loved cats. Besides her husband, she leaves her son, Jason H. Spencer of Enfield; her daughter and son-in-law, Robbin and Paul Blais of Windsor Locks; two grandchildren, Amanda L. Spencer and Zachary J. Spencer, both of East Windsor; and a niece and two nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, at the J.M. Bassinger Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery, East Windsor. Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 7, at the funeral home.
