Stefaniak John E. Stefaniak Jr., 64, of 4 Plainfield St., Enfield, a retired 14-year tool and dye maker for Pratt & Whitney, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 1996, at home. He retired in 1992. He was a lifelong resident of Enfield and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. After his retirement, he worked for the Yellow Cab Co. in Bloomfield. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He leaves his wife, Janice L. (Spencer) Stefaniak; two sons, Mark E. Stefaniak and Wayne R. Stefaniak, both of Enfield; a daughter, Alice M. Bishop of Enfield; two brothers, James Stefaniak of Washington and Robert Stefaniak of Clearwater, Fla; a sister, Joan Belisle of Enfield, and three grandchildren, Wayne R. Stefaniak Jr., David Stefaniak, and Johanna Cintron all of Enfield. Another brother, Frederick Stefaniak, died in 1968. The funeral will be Saturday, at 9 a.m., from Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, with a service at St. Mary Episcopal Church, at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in Hazardville Cemetery.
