Smith Mark A. Smith, 44, of Manchester, died unexpectedly Friday, April 20, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born Dec. 12, 1956 in Manchester, son of the late Kenneth A. and Stella (Ivaniski) Smith, he had been a lifelong resident. Mark had been employed as a service adviser for several car dealerships in the area. He was a former communicant of St. James Church in Manchester, and was a member of the Manchester Elks Lodge 1893. Mark is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce A. and Kelly Smith of Hollywood, Md., and John K. and Diane Smith of Manchester; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol A. and John Zarbock of Portland, Texas, Kathleen S. and Andrew Malinowski of Rocky Hill, and Janice P. and Thurston Ray of Manchester; a special aunt, Mary T. Ivaniski of Vernon; other aunts, uncles, and cousins; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, at the funeral home.
