He was born in Enfield in 1913, the son of Matti and Hilda Riiska Tuomala, and lived in Canton for 34 years. He was employed by Dahl and Johnson of West Hartford for 20 years as a linoleum mechanic before retiring in 1967. He was a Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Disables American Veterans. He leaves his wife, Helen Johnson Tuomala; two daughters, Nancy T. Adams of New Haven and Ruth T. Parker of Newton, Mass.; a brother, John Tuomala of Canton; two sisters, Hilda Leander of Enfield and Alice Ajaski pf Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Forst Church of Christ, Congregational, Collinsville. Calling hours are today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Vicent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Ave., Canton.
