Turek, 87, of Suffield, husband of Carolyn (Such) Turek, died Thursday, May 10, 2001. Born in Suffield, he was a lifelong resident. He was employed by Stanadyne Automotive for 20 years, retiring in 1979, and was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Suffield. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons and their wives, James and Patricia Turek of Suffield, William and Irene Turek of Bristol, and David and Angela Turek of Ridgefield; two brothers and their wives, Mitchell and Viola Turek of Suffield and Edmund and Jean Turek of Cincinnati; and eight grandchildren, Deborah, Thomas, Mark, Hayden, Cari-Lyn, Melissa, Eva, and Jackson. He was predeceased by three brothers, Anthony, Joseph, and Frank. Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St., Route 159, Suffield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Suffield. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield. His family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 11, at the funeral home.
