James F. Tierney

World War II Veteran

James F. Tierney, 63, of 14 Wallace St., Enfield, died Sunday morning at his 
home after a brief illness.  A World War II Army veteran, Mr. Tierney was 
employed by Bigelow Sanford until his retirement in 1966.  He was a member 
of St. Patrick Church.
Surviving are a sister, Miss Helen M. Tierney of Hartford; a nephew, S-Sgt. 
Walter A. Ellard, now with the USAF in Texas; a niece, Mrs. May Ashland of
Chicago.
The funeral was held Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from the Browne Funeral Home, with 
services at St. Patrick Church at 9:30.  Burial was in St. Patrick's King 
Street Cemetery.
