Webster Jr. Harry G. Webster Jr., 68 of 1341 Hill St., a retired senior vice president of Third National Bank, Springfield, and active in many Springfield organizations, died Jan 30 in Springfield. Webster was a former president of Springfield Hospital. Born in Springfield, he lived in Longmeadow many years before recently moving to Suffield. He was a graduate from Loomis School, Windsor, and Williams College, Class of 1933., and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a former president of the U.S. Spring Bed Co., of Springfield and joined the bank in 1953 as assistant cashier. He had worked breifly at the former Springfield National Bank and the Five Cents Savings Bank as a time keeper for the Springfield Streets and Engineering Department. He was a former president of the Springfield Area Development Corp., trustee and president of Child and Family Service Association, director of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, incorporator of Pioneer Valley United Fund, Wesson Maternity Hospital and the Springfield Visiting Nurses Association. He was a former president of Junior Achievement of Western Mass. Ha was a member of St. Andrew Episopal Church, Longmeadow and the Fox Hollow Gun Club of Suffield. He leaves his wife, Vera (Rogers) Webster, a son, Harry G of East Granby, three daughters, Vera S. of Denver Colo., Susan S. of Wilbraham and Martha B. f Virginia; and a brother, Donald of Juniper, Fla. A memorial service was held Feb 6 at St. Andre's Epicopal Church, with burial at the convenience of the family.
