Mary A. (Olsowy) Wojtyna, 87, of Hartford, the wife of Walter Wojtyna, died Tuesday, 
April 10, 2001.

She was born Aug. 28, 1913, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Andrew and Jadwiga (Warchol) 
Olsowy. Mary was a member of Barry Square Senior Center.

In addition to her husband, Walter, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Walter 
"Sunny" Wojtyna of Hartford, and Peter and Michelle Wojtyna of Windsor; two daughters and 
sons-in-law, Irene and Walter "Stan" Surdel of Tolland and Barbara and Peter Mancini of South 
Windsor; two brothers, Peter Olsowy of Hobe Sound, Fla., and Franek Olsowy of Poland; a sister, 
Bertha Mayer of East Hartford; nine grandchildren, Richard Surdel, Karen Major, Dianne Stone, 
Michael Mancini, Mark Mancini, Peter Mancini III, Lisa Mancini, Brian Wojtyna, and Kelly Wojtyna;
and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Joseph Olsowy; a 
sister, Katherine; and a great-grandson, Brian Major.

A funeral service and burial will be private.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 20, at St. Cyril and St. Methodius Church 
in Hartford.

Rose Hill Funeral Home, Rocky Hill, is assisting with arrangements.

Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
