Witkins, died Monday, April 30, 2001, at John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Cirigliano) Printz, she lived in Hartford before moving to Enfield more than 45 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1993, Barbara was employed for 30 years by Travelers Insurance Co., Hartford. She was a member of the Travelers Women's Club, the Retirees Club, the University of the Third Age at Asnuntuck Community College, and was secretary for Enfield Chapter 1209, AARP. She is survived by her beloved children, David J. Witkins and Donna J. McGonagle, both of Enfield; two grandchildren, Michelle McGonagle of Los Angeles and John McGonagle of Enfield; a sister, Betty Printz of Berlin; two brothers-in-law, Dr. Richard Reece and his wife, Loretta of Old Saybrook, and John Witkins and his wife, Janet of Windsor; and many loving nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Edward Printz Jr.; and two sisters, Grace Winchester and Marjorie Hooker. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, in the chapel of Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Her family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, at the funeral home.
