(Wing) Watton, 75, of Bigelow Avenue, Enfield, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was the widow of James Watton Sr., who died in 1993. Born in Enfield, daughter of the late Luke and Florence (O'Brian) Wing, Shirley was a lifelong resident of the community and a communicant of St. Adalbert Church, Enfield. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a waitress at the former Dunn's Restaurant and at Hotzy's in Enfield for several years, and later at the Suffield VFW for many years. Shirley's favorite pastimes included cooking and antiquing. She is survived by three sons, William Salinardi and his wife, Sue, of Agawam, Mass., James Watton Jr. and Gary Watton, both of Enfield; her daughter, Pat Caramazza of Enfield; a sister, Alice Tomalonis of Enfield; five grandchildren, James Watton III, Robert Watton, Darbi Leite, Joseph Caramazza Jr., and Amy Salinardi; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah, and Kayla. Shirley was predeceased by four brothers, James, Harold, Merrile, and Blair, and two sisters, Gertrude Gurley and Tollie Lynch. A funeral service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, from the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Adalbert Church. Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Enfield. Shirley's family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at the funeral home.
