He was the husband of Betty Bostelman Wilson. He was born in Hartford and lived here for 26 years. He was an engineering specialist for 20 years before his retirement in June. He was a member of the First Company of the Governor's Foot Guard from 1969 to 1984 and was a former member of the Jaycees. He was a communicant of St. Martha Church and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Matthew Wilson at home and Mark Wilson of Enfield; three daughters, Diana Thibodeau and Marlene Wilson of Enfield and Gail Doughtie of South Windsor; two brothers, Thomas Wilson of Rocky Hill and Joseph Wilson of East Hartford; a sister, Elsie Simpson of Tacoma, Wash.; and three grandchildren. The funeral was to be at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, and at St. Martha Church. Burial was to be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
