Born in Springfield on April 26, 1957, daughter of Francis "Mike" and Frances (Ambrosini) Young of Enfield, she was a lifelong resident of Enfield and a communicant of Holy Family Church. Marie had been employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, serving the Washington Street area of Hartford for the past seven years. Previously, she had been employed with the Windsor Marketing Group in Windsor Locks for several years. In addition to her parents, Marie is survived by her son, Ryan Michael Young; a brother, Albert Young; a sister, Darcy Starzyk and her husband, Rick; three nephews, Ricky, Alex, and Tyler Starzyk; and her maternal grandmother, Marie (Sperrazza) Ambrosini, all of Enfield. She also leaves several cousins and many dear friends. A funeral service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, April 28, from Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Simon Road, Enfield. Burial will be in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield. Her family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today, April 27, at the funeral home.
