Wheras Elijah Alvord of Bolton on the 25th of December AD 1817 before Joseph Carver Esqr Justice of the peace for County of Tolland recovered judgment against William Willson of Coventry aforesd fro the sum of seven dollars & 54 cents damages and for the sum of 2 dollars 9 cents costs of suit as app_ of record whereof execution remains to be done-- These are therefore by authority of the State of Connecticut to command you that of the goods chattels or land of the sd debtor within your precincts you cause to be levied and the same being di___ed of or appraised as the law directs paid and satisfied unto the sd creditor the aforesaid sums being nine dollars 63 cents in the whole with 17 cents more for this writ and thereof also to satisfy your self for your own fees, And for want of such goods chattels or land of the sd debtor to be by him shown unto you or found within your precinct to the acceptance of the creditor for satisfying the aforesaid sums you are hereby commanded to take the body of the debtor and him commit unto the keeper of the gaol in Tolland in the County aforesd written the sd Prison & he is likewise hereby commanded to receive the sd debtor and him safely keep untill he pay unto the sd creditor the full sums above mentioned and be by him released and also totaling your fees And fail not and make direct ______turn of this writ with your doings thereon according to law within sixty days next coming. Dated at Bolton this 25th day of November AD 1818. Joseph Carver Justice of the Peace Tolland County ss Coventry Decr 23rd 1818 By virtue of this writ of Execution to me directed I repaired to the usual place of abode of William Willson the debtor within named in sd Coventry and there made demand of the debt or sum of money due on this execution with all necessary charges of executing the same and the sd Wm. Willson having neglected to make payment thereof and for want of personal or moveable estate of the sd debtor shown to me or found within my precincts to satisfy this Execution and necessary charges of executing the same by direction of Elijah Alvord the creditor within named I levied this Excr on one horseshed being the second shed or stable in the third building from the west near the Meeting House in Coventry 2nd Society the proper estate of the sd Wm. Willson in fee and on the 25th Instant the sd Elijah Alvord the creditor chose Eleazor Pomeroy & the sd Wm. Willson debtor chose Titus Baker & the sd debtor neglecting to choose a third appraiser - I applyed to Joseph Carver a Justice of Peace who may by law Judge between the sd parties in civil cases which sd Justice appointed Jeremiah Parrish all to be appraisers of sd shed or stable all indifferent free holders of sd Coventry wherein sd shed stands, and Joseph Carver a Justice of Peace within & for sd County of Tolland then and there administered to the sd Eleazor Pomeroy Titus Baker & Jeremiah Parrish the oath by law required for appraisers of land & buildings taken on Exr and the sd appraisers then & there in view of sd described shed or stable on which this Exr had been so levied did upon their Oaths appraise the same shed or stable as the sum of seven dollars & 80 cents on then on this the 25th day of Decr 1818 & to the sd Elijah Alvord the creditor in this & as the then present ___ & ____ _____ thing to the creditor in the Exr the sd appraised Shed in part satisfaction of this Exr-- Attest - Nathl Root Constable Recorded Decr 28th 1818 by N Howard Regr
