To all christin people to home these presents shall com Greeting    Know ye
that I john mason of stonington in ye county of New London in ye colony of
coecticot in Newengland doe for & in consideration of six pounds corant
money of Newengland to me in hand well & truly payed by Gorg halkins of
preston of ye county & colony aforesd & there fore I doe by thes presents
freely fully & absolutly acquit exhonerate & for ever discharg ye afore sd
gorg halkins his heirs executors administrators & assigns in consideration
of ye a fore sd sume I john mason have given granted bargained sould
allienated _______(?) & confirmed unto ye sd Gorg halkins his heirs
executors administrators & assigns for ever a certain tract of Land which
Lieth in ye township of preston & ajoyning to ye upper end of ye great
mountain & bounded as followeth beginning at a white oak marked on fourer
sids with DK and from thenc wet & by North 68 rod to a white oak tree marked
on four sids with LS & from thence south west forty six rod to a white oak
tree marked on two sids & from thenc south south east fortisix rods to a
Rock nex to a red oak marked on four sids and from thenc North east & by
North seventy five rods to a black oak marked on four sids standing on ye
North side of ye great hill & from thenc North west thirty eight rods to ye
tree first mentioned to have & to hould quiatly to posses & injoy ye above
bargained tract of Land free & clere with all ye rights previledgs &
advantages oramunitis appertaining there unto in a sure posetion & estat of
in heritanc for ever & that I ye sd john mason for my self my heirs
executors administrators & assigns doe covenant promis to Gorg halkins his
heires executors administrators & assigns to warrant & defend ye same
against every person & plea & all maner of persons & claims what soever
Lawfully claiming or having any right to be interest there in wher by ye sd
gorg halkins or any of his heirs executors administrators or assigns shall
or may by any at any time be molested or avicted out of ye quiat possetion
of ye sd bargained premises but shall & may for ever here after have hould
improve & injoy Lawfully all ye about bargained premices free & clere with
out any Lawfull Lett deniall eviction ajection mollestation disturbanc or
contradiction & clerly acquiatt & discharge of & from all maner of former &
other gifts grants bargains seals assinements & all other acts & in
combrances whatsoever and that I john mason my heirs and assigns as a bove
sd shall and will att any time upon damand performe and caus to be don what
ye Law requirers as by signing any other Deed if caled there unto for ye
surer making and Full ex confirming of ye a bove bargained premises as
wittnes my hand this eight day of jenuary in the yer of our Lord one
thousand seven hundred & seven witnessth signed sealed and dalivered in
