Roger Phelps grants Reuben Jr. ¾ acres & house on Dec. 7, 1807, QC
To all people to whom these presents shall come.Greetings
Know ye that we Roger Phelps & Mary Phelps by her conservator she said, Roger
& Abigail Phelps & Amia Phelps – Aaron Phelps, Alpheus Phelps & Allen Phelps
all of Hebron in the County of Tolland for the consideration of One hundred
twenty Dollars received to my full satisfaction of Reuben Godfrey Junr of said
Hebron. Do remise, release & for ever quit claim unto the said Reuben one
certain piece of Land lying in such Hebron. Bounded East & North on the
Highway leaving to Bolton. South & West on Lane belonging to L. Alexander
Phelps, containing about three quarters of a acre with a Dwelling house
thereon standing. To have & to hold the above grantee & quit claimed premises
unto him the said Reuben Godfrey his heirs & assigns to his & their own proper
use & behoof so that neither we the said Grantors nor either us nor our heirs
shall or will ever claim on demand any right or title to the premises but
therefrom shall be utterly bard & excluding. In witness whereof we have
hereunto set our hands & seals this 30th day of November AD 1807. Signed
Sealed and Delivered in presence of Sylvester Gilbert, Eleazer Huchison 2nd,
Joel Jones, Azariah Beach Junior. Aaron Phelps LS, Alpheus Phelps LS, Roger
Phelps LS, Abigail Phelps LS, Amy Phelps LS
Tolland County, Hebron, November 30th 1807 personally appeared Aaron Phelps,
Alpheus Phelps signers of the within Deed & acknowledged the same to be their
free act & Deed.
Before me Sylvester Gilbert Just Peace Tolland County for Hebron Dec. 3rd 1807
personally appeared Roger Phelps, Abigail Phelps, Amy Phelps signers & dealers
of the within Instrument & acknowledged the same to be their free act & Deed.
