Godfrey of the Town of Groton New London County and Melissa J. Bush and Philo P. Bush husband and wife and both of the Town of New Haven in New Haven county and State of Connecticut and and [sic] W.H. Godfrey of said New Haven for the consideration of Two Hundred dollars received to our full satisfaction of Orrin A. Lincoln of the Town of Columbia Tolland county and State of Connecticut do remise release and forever quit claim unto the said Lincoln his heirs and assigns forever all the right title interest claim and demand whatsoever as we the said releasors have or ought to have in or to the following described piece of land situated in said Town of Columbia and last owned by Harvey Lincoln deceased and bounded as follows. Easterly by land of Septimus Loomer in part, by land of Royal A. Thompson in part and by land of George W. Maine in part; Northerly by land of said Maine in part, by land of Silas Loomis in part and in part by land of George Franklin; Westerly by land of Silas Loomis in part and in part by land of said Franklin and Southerly by land of Septimus Loomer in part, by land of Levi Grant in part and in part by land of ….. Shafan containing one hundred and ten acres more or less. To have and to hold the premises with all their appurtenances unto the said Releasee his heirs and assigns forever, so that neither we the Releasors nor our heirs nor any other person under us or them shall hereafter have any claim, right or title in or to the premises or any part thereof; but therefrom we and they are by these presents utterly barred and secluded In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this fifth day of December AD 1865 Signed sealed and delivered in presence of George H. Godfrey of the Town of Groton in the county of New London State of Connecticut do hereby make, constitute and appoint William H. Godfrey of the Town of New Haven in the county of New Haven State of Connecticut my true sufficient and lawful Attorney for me and in my name to bargain sell and convey my undivided one sixth right in the tract of land known as the Loomis farm situated in the Town of Columbia in the County of Tolland and State of Connecticut to any person or persons whomsoever and to execute and deliver a proper deed or deeds with the usual covenants of Warranty and seizing and to sign my name to said deed or deeds and the same are to be as binding and effectual in Law as if done by me in my own proper person, and to do and perform all necessary acts in the execution and prosecution of the aforesaid business in as full and ample a manner as I might do if I were personally present: also to sell said undivided one-sixth Right or my part thereof for such price or sum of money or on such terms as he may think best.
