Jan. 5, 1880: Hebron to General Hospital. Bury Buser in New Haven. Jan. 26, 1880: Hebron to Vernon. Paid for burial of the wife of Charles E. Bingham, who died Sept. 3, 1878. Jan. 27, 1880: New London to Hebron. The wife and child of William B. Chamberlain are here on expense. She says her husband belongs to your town. Jan. 30, 1880: Hebron to New London. William B. Chamberlain is not an inhabitant. Feb. 2, 1880: New London to Hebron. Mrs. Chamberlain says her husband is in some store or shop in Hebron. Feb. 5, 1880: Windham to Hebron. Austin Seymour, wife & 3 children (Nelson, ae 17; William, ae 2 1/2; and an infant) are on expense. As near as I can learn, the mother of this Austin Seymour was a colored woman by the name of Emily Barber, and her father was "Lewd Barber," a noted character of Hebron. Feb. 6, 1880: Hebron to New London. William B. Chamberlain is employed as a clerk in a store in Hebron. I am told he is only 21 years of age, and his father lived in Hebron less than a year, coming here from Massachusetts and removing to New Haven from here. I am told that his father is now dead. Feb. 17, 1880: Hebron to Windham. Neither Emily Barber or her father ever gained a residence in Hebron. Austin Seymour and family are not inhabitants. Feb. 23, 1880: Hebron to Vernon. Oliver Bingham died in 1878. Charles E. Bingham is now living in Columbia. Mrs. Oliver Bingham removed to Columbia last week into the house with her son Charles E. Bingham. Feb. 23, 1880: Windham to Hebron. Mrs. James Monroe Bacon & 2 children (Nellie, ae 4 1/2. and Mary Ann, ae 3 years) on expense. Feb. 28, 1880: Hebron to Windham. Mrs. Prudy Antrim is on expense. Apr. 17, 1880: Hebron to Marlborough. James N. Culver is on expense. Apr. 22, 1880: Marlborough to Hebron. Please inform as to condition of James N. Culver. If he is likely to want much help we shall remove him at once. May 20, 1880: Hampton to Hebron. Charles H. Weeks & his children (Lydia L., Frank S. and Samuel E.) are on expense. May 26, 1880: Hebron to Hampton. Charles H. Weeks and children are not inhabitants. May 25, 1880: Hartford to Hebron. Elizabeth Lewis, colored, is on expense. This woman was formerly Elizabeth Barber. May 28, 1880: Hebron to Hartford. Elizabeth Lewis, formerly Elizabeth Barber, never was an inhabitant. Aug. 11, 1880: Windham to Hebron. Bill for support of Austin Seymour & family, Feb. 5-Apr. 1, 1880. Aug. 20, 1880: Hebron to Windham. Austin Seymour was not born here & never gained a residence here. Sept. 15, 1880: Hebron to Glastonbury. Bill for goods furnished Joel Peters since Jan. 1, 1880. Nov. 26, 1880: Hebron to Montville. Mrs. John Wicks is on expense. She is living with another old lady; she desires to remain where she is. Nov. 29, 1880: Hebron to Chatham. Selden Williams is on expense. Dec. 3, 1880: Hebron to Windham. Mrs. Prudy Antrim is on expense.
