Gray died this morning at the Hartford Hospital. He will be buried in Bristol Tuesday. I have taken measures to obtain the appropriation from the State for $35.00 for his burial. His wife will be relived of much care and expense, and if her health does not fail she will be able to take care of herself. Apr. 16, 1883: Bolton to Hebron. I wrote to you in early January with regard to Daniel Porter, who is on expense. Neither he nor his father ever gained a settlement here. His settlement is in Hebron through his grandfather. May 25, 1883: Windham to Hebron. Do you acknowledge the settlement of Huldah Brown in your town or not? May 28, 1883: Hebron to Bolton. Daniel Porter has no legal settlement in this town. June 7, 1883: Haddam to Hebron. Did Richard L. Ames live in your town 6 years at any one time? Do you know anything about his war record? It has been intimated that he might belong to your town. The dispute is between Waterford and East Lyme. Haddam is forced to a suit. June 11, 1883: Hebron to Haddam. Richard L. Ames enlisted from here when about 18 years old and never returned to live here. His father moved here and died here but did not live in Hebron long enough to gain a settlement. Aug. 25, 1883: Royal T. Kollock, Hebron, to Selectmen of Hebron. Request for $5.00; needy circumstances. Sept. 1, 1883: Glastonbury to Hebron. Lucy Richards is on expense. She is an old colored woman; fell and broke her arm. She says she let John Vogel of your town have her money and he was to take care of her, but he used her so badly she was obliged to leave him. Sept. 4, 1883: Hebron to Colchester. Royal T. Kollock and his wife are here on expense. Oct. 6, 1883: Glastonbury to Hebron. Albert Goss, his wife Susan and an infant child are on expense. Nov. 14, 1883: Colchester to Hebron. Inform us as to how much aid per month you are giving to Royal T. Kollock. If they require much we will be obliged to bring them to our alms house. Nov. 21, 1883: Lebanon to Hebron. John M. Brown, wife Jane, and children (Charles and Ella E.) are on expense. Mr. Brown is sick and in a very critical condition. Dec. 6, 1883: Huntington to Hebron. Thomas Lessort and their (sic) children are on expense. Dec. 15, 1883: Hebron to Huntington. Thomas Lessort is not an inhabitnt. Dec. 4, 1883: Lebanon to Hebron. John M. Brown and family are on expense. We notified you on Nov. 21; Mr. Brown has died since and we have paid funeral expenses. Dec. 10, 1883: Hebron to Lebanon. Paid bill for Brown family and funeral expenses of John M. Brown. Let us know if the family requires further assistance. The girl has been married, and her husband does not belong to this town; therefore she does not. Feb. 9, 1884: Hebron to Montville. Bill for supporting Mrs. John Wicks Sept. 1, 1883-Jan. 1, 1884; medical attendance. Feb. 9, 1884: Hebron to Glastonbury. Bill for supplies furnished to Joel Peters, Jan. 1, 1882-Feb. 20, 1884. Feb. 27, 1884: Hebron to Eastford. J. Lester Snow & his wife are on expense. Mar. 3, 1884: Eastford to Hebron. J.L. Snow and wife are not inhabitants. Mar. 14, 1884. Coventry to Hebron. Edwin Peters, wife & 3 children (Burther, ae 6; Walter, ae 5; Frank, ae 3; Malcomb, ae 1) are on expense. June 25, 1884: Hebron to Coventry.. Edwin Peters not an inhabitant. Look to Bolton. We request payment of a bill sent in 1881 for support of Augustus Woodworth. Apr. 7, 1884: Hebron to Montville. Bill for support of Mrs. John Wicks to Jan. 1, 1884. May 12, 1884: Hebron to Glastonbury. Bill for 28 months of supplies for Joel Peters, ending Feb. 20, 1884. May 12, 1884: Bolton to Hebron. George Ira Peters, Lucinda C. Peters and children Maryetta Peters, aged 8, Arthur N. Peters, ae 4, George C. Peters, ae 3, and Bertha Peters, ae 1 year, are on expense. June 21, 1884: Lebanon to Hebron. Mrs. Jane Brown, wife of John Brown, who died here last winter, needs assistance. June 25, 1884: Hebron to Lebanon. Inform us as to what Mrs. Jane Brown requires. June 25, 1884: Hebron to Bolton. George Ira Peters lived in this town for several years when a boy but did not gain settlement here. He is the son of George Ira Peters who lived and died in the town of Glastonbury and belonged there. Dec. 1, 1884: Manchester to Hebron..
