Mary Bingham is on expense. Jan. 24, 1885: Colchester to Hebron. Thomas Lesard, wife and 3 children are on expense. One child, Archie, ae 6, was born in Hebron. Jan. 26, 1885: Farmington to Hebron. Mrs. C.E. Lockwood is on expense; also for her child, Anna B., ae 10. Feb. 4, 1885: Hebron to Colchester. William A. Taylor, wife & 6 children, aged from 13 years down to an infant, are on expense. Feb. 10, 1885: Hebron to Colchester. Peter Kelley, wife and 4 children on expense. Children Johnny, ae 5, and Michael, ae 3, both born in Colchester. Feb. 6, 1885: Andover to Hebron. Edward Peters, colored, wife, and 4 children are on expense. Feb. 10, 1885: Hebron to Lisbon. Peter Kelley, wife and 4 children (Mary, ae 9; Julia, ae 7; Johnny, ae 5; Michael, ae 3) are on expense. Feb. 16, 1885: Hebron to Montville. Bill for supplies for Mrs. Weeks, Jan. 1884-Jan. 1, 1885. Feb. 16, 1885: Hebron to Colchester. Bill for supplies for Royal T. Kollock, June 1, 1884-Jan. 1, 1885. Feb. 16, 1885: Hebron to Andover. Edwin Peters (not Edward) does not belong to Hebron; try Glastonbury or Bolton. Mar. 5, 1885: Hebron to Griswold. Peter Kelley, wife & 4 children (Mary, ae 8; Julia, ae 7; Johnny, ae 6; Michael, ae 4) are on expense. Mar. 2, 1885: Colchester to Hebron. We have no record of the birth of Johnny and Michael Kelley. One child was born here but died 2 days after birth in March 1882. In August 1882 the town of Griswold paid us for expenses of Mary Kelly, ae 7, Julia Kelly, ae 6, and John Kelly, ae 5, children of Peter Kelly. In 1882 the town of Norwich was notified that Michael Kelly, son of Peter Kelly, ae 2, was on expense, said Michael having been born in Norwich. May 19, 1885. Griswold to Hebron. Peter Kelly never owned real estate here, and none of his children were born in Griswold. I have been informed that Peter and his wife brought a child from New York. When they resided in Griswold he lost his wife and married again. Aug. 3, 1885: Glastonbury to Hebron. John Kamerer and family are on expense. June 18, 1885: Vernon to Hebron. Have talked with Mary Bingham about going to Hebron. She prefers to remain here with her mother. Both she and her mother are in feeble health and not likely to live long. Aug. 25, 1885: Hebron to Vernon. Paid for support of Mary Bingham. Jan. 12- June 15, 1885 Aug. 29, 1885: Hebron to Colchester. Bill for support of William Taylor & family, Jan. 29-July 1, 1885 Oct. 12, 1885: Hebron to Manchester. Alden J. Loveland, wife Nellie & children (Edwin, ae 12; Cora, ae 10; Etta, ae 8; Ernest, ae 3; a baby) on expense Nov. 2, 1885: Manchester to Hebron. Please give facts of case of Alden Loveland: is he in jail, does he claim to have lived here four years continuously? I think he lived here less than three years. Nov. 28, 1885: Hebron to Columbia. Samuel Snow is on expense. Dec. 1, 1885: Columbia to Hebron. Samuel Snow has visited Columbia since your letter; evidently does not need help. Jan. 28, 1886: Hebron to Columbia. Thomas Somers is on expense. Feb. 2, 1886: Columbia to Hebron. Thomas Somers is not an inhabitant of this town. Sept. 1886: Hebron to Manchester. Bill for support of Alden J. Loveland, Oct. 10, 1885-Feb. 5, 1886 Mar. 31, 1886: Windsor to Hebron. Augusta A. Beach, wife of George H. Beach, inhabitants of your town, is dangerously insane. Feb. 10, 1886: Hebron to Montville. Bill for support of Mrs. Weeks, Jan. 1885-Dec. 1885. Feb. 24, 1886: Hebron to Griswold. Bill for support of Peter Kelly and family, 6 persons, 2 of whom were born in Griswold, Feb. 9-Nov. 15, 1885. Kelly went from Hebron last Nov. to Colchester to work in rubber mill. Feb. 24, 1886: Hebron to Norwich. Bill for support of Johnny, son of Peter Kelly, who was born in Norwich. Feb. 24, 1886: Hebron to Colchester. Bill for supplies furnished to Royal T. Kollock, Jan. 1, 1885-Jan. 1, 1886. /Have received a letter from Mrs. Zilpha Stevens who says that a girl by name of Irene Z. Wood is at her house. Irene's father, a blacksmith, refuses to pay her board or take her home. Mrs. Stevens lives on Jones Street near Mr. Carrier. /With regard to the child Hyde; I think Hyde belongs to Franklin. Sept. 1, 1886: Hebron to Bolton. Benjamin Profit, colored, is on expense. Sept. 1, 1886: Hebron to Glastonbury. Benjamin Profit, colored,is on expense. /Paid balance of Kamerer account. Sept. 15, 1886: Hebron to Vernon. Paid for support of Mary Bingham to Sept. 1, 1886. Sept. 15, 1886: Hebron to Marlborough. N. Lester Snow & wife Almira are on expense. Nov. 10, 1886: Hebron to Windham. James Baldwin, wife Sarah & 3 children are on expense. One child, ae 3, was born in Windham. Baldwin is a French Canadian & has no settlement in this state. Jan. 17, 1887: Hebron to Montville. Bill for support of Mrs. John Weeks Jan.-Dec. 1886 Feb. 12, 1887: Hebron to Bozrah. Bill for medical attendance on Charles H. Sparks in his last sickness Apr. 27, 1887: Hebron to Lebanon. Nelson Licqua, wife & 4 children (Emma, ae 5; Virginia & Rose, twins, ae 3; Amelia, ae 1) are on expense. Emma was born in Lebanon at Liberty Hill. Licqua is French and has no settlement in this state. Apr. 27, 1887: Hebron to Andover. Same as preceding. Virginia & Rose were born in Andover. Apr. 27, 1887: Hebron to Bolton. Same as preceding. Amelia was born in Bolton. June 18, 1887: Hebron to Norwich. Young man by name of Everett Burroughs/Burrows is on expense. June 1, 1887: Hebron to Haddam. Mrs. Elizabeth Loveland did not live in this town long enough to gain a settlement. June 18, 1887: Hebron to Ledyard. Everet Burroughs/Burrows is on expense. June 10, 1887: Haddam to Hebron. Bill for support of Mrs. Elizabeth Loveland Jan. 5-June 1, 1887 July 20, 1887: Hebron to Norwich. Father of Everet Burroughs was D.S. Burroughs, now dead, who was French Canadian and had no settlement in this state. Everet is about 18; he was born in Norwich. Sept. 13, 1887: Hebron to Marlborough. Orrin Coleman is on expense. Oct. 11, 1887: Hebron to Colchester. Bill for supplies and board for Henry James, Dec. 8, 1886-Sept. 20, 1887; medical attendance. /Bill for supplies for Mr. & Mrs. R.T. Kollock. Dec. 10, 1887: Hebron to Windham. George W. Taylor, wife and infant child are on expense. Dec. 10, 1887: Hebron to Haddam. Mrs. Elizabeth Loveland never lived in this town long enough to gain a settlement. We will neither remove her nor allow her to be removed here.
