Eldridge has gained a residence in both Sprague and Franklin since he left Griswold. Jan. 1, 1892: Hebron to Colchester. Bill for supplies for Mrs. R.T. Kollock to date. Mrs. Kollock left Hebron more than a month since. Jan. 2, 1892: Hebron to Bolton. Bill for support of child of Nelson Licqua, Oct. 1, 1889-Sept. 1, 1890. The mother of this child married about the time this bill was sent and left this town. I assume there will be no further expense. Feb. 13, 1892: Hebron to Glastonbury. John L. Fuller & wife are on expense. Mar. 21, 1892: Hebron to Salem. Bills for Walter E. Banning & family (supplies to date); hospital bill for Mrs. Banning. Apr. 12, 1892: Hebron to Montville. Mrs. Weeks is quite feeble and unable to do anything for herself. Apr. 12, 1892: Hebron to Glastonbury. Bill for supplies for John L. Fuller & wife; he was sick and is now at Tolland jail for stealing a watch, etc. Apr. 16, 1892: Hebron to Colchester. Arthur L. Spencer, wife Addie D., son Allie, ae 8, & an infant child are on expense. Apr. 18, 1892: Colchester to Hebron. Arthur L. Spencer belongs to East Haddam. Apr. 16, 1892: Hebron to East Haddam. Notification that Arthur L. Spencer & family were on expense. Apr. 20, 1892: East Haddam to Hebron. Acknowledged Arthur L. Spencer as an inhabitant. May 18, 1892: Hebron to New Britain. Luetta, widow of Edmund D. Gilbert, and her child, ae about 8 months, are on expense. June 6, 1892: Hebron to East Haddam. Bill for supplies furnished to Arthur L. Banning, his wife Rosa, and children (Frederick, ae 9; Florence, ae 6; Frank, ae 4; B. May, ae 2) are on expense. They have been evicted out of the house they lived in this summer. Mrs. Banning is about to be confined. Dec. 6, 1893: Hebron to Glastonbury. Elisha Slater, wife Mary, & 2 children (Bertie, ae 2, and Henry, ae 9 months) are on expense. They came from Wethersfield to this town a few days ago with no money and nothing to eat. Please remove them to Glastonbury. Dec. 10, 1892: Hebron to Glastonbury: John S. Bingham)& her 3 children (Mary E., ae 7; John S., ae 6; Clarence, ae about 1 year 7 months) are on expense. They houise that they lived in was burned this week, and her husband, C.E. Arnold Sutter is not an inhabitant. He did not become an inhabitant of this country until Sept. 1, 1888 (when he was naturalized); he was made an elector here Oct. 29, 1888. He moved from here with his family in Feb. 1889 & came back in Sept. 1889. He lived here until Feb. 1890, when he removed to Marlborough or Paterson, N.J. Oct. 23, 1893: Hebron to Lyme. Ellen Sanders, wife of George H. Sanders, is on expense. Dec. 8, 1893: Hebron to Lebanon. Ellen Sanders, wife ofGeorge H. Sanders, is on expense. George H. Sanders was born in Lebanon in 1845 & has never gained a settlement in any other town. Dec. 3, 1893: Glastonbury to Hebron. Miss Ann Eliza Mitchell is on expense. Feb. 14, 1894: East Lyme to Hebron. Eugene Palmer is on expense. Mar. 5, 1894: Hebron to East Lyme. I do not think that Eugene Palmer belongs to this town. Feb. 5, 1894: Hebron to Glastonbury. John L. Fuller is sick & on expense. Feb. 26, 1894: Hebron to Windham. Malvina Baldwin, ae 10, daughter of James Baldwin, is on expense. Mar. 5, 1894: Hebron to Montville. Mrs. John Weeks is not ae 84 and has lived with Mrs. Snow for several years. Aug. 14, 1894: Hebron to Chatham. Frederick Smith, ae about 20, son of John Smith deceased, is sick & on expense Nov. 20, 1894: Hebron to Chatham. Nov. 17, 1894: Hebron to Lyme. Francis Clark is on expense. He is with his sister, Mrs. Thomas Taylor. Nov. 22, 1894: Hebron to Chatham. Mrs. Amile R. Chapman is on expense; medical expenses at birth of child. He left her in Dec. & we could get nothing out of him. Nov. 24, 1894: Hebron to Glastonbury. Elisha Slater, wife Mary, and 3 children (Bertie, ae 3; Henry, ae about 2; Elizabeth, ae 4 months) are on expense. He cannot pay his rent & will probably be evicted. Nov. 27, 1894: Hebron to East Hartford. Frederick C. Goodell, son of Benjamin F. Goodell, is sick with typhoid fever. The family moved to Hebron Aug. 15, 1893. Dec. 29, 1894: Hebron to Montville. Thomas Hibbard is on expense. Feb. 12, 1896: Hebron to Portland. Thomas Hibbard is not an inhabitant. He worked for William T. Warner of Gilead until Feb. 4, when he left, leaving behind a trunk & a few effects. Stephen B. Davis, Coroner of Middlesex Co., has written Mr. Warner to forward the trunk to Dr. Sears of Portland. Mar. 21, 1896: Hebron to Colchester. Bill for half the expense of support of family of Fred Sweeny; expenses to Massachusetts Oct. 20, 1896: Hebron to Manchester. Dennis Lahey, so-called, an illegitimate child of Mrs. William J. Farmer, is on expense, having been abandoned by his mother. He was born in Manchester about June 3, 1892. Sept. 15, 1896: Hebron to Estate of Jacob Obermann. Funeral expenses. Apr. 7, 1897: Hebron to Glastonbury. Bill for medical attendance for Mrs. John S. Strickland during birth of a child (Apr. 4) Dec. 27, 1897: Hebron to Salem. Mrs. Charles H. Banning is on expense by reason of birth of a child. Dec. 28, 1897: Hebron to Glastonbury. John S. Strickland, wife, & their 4 children (Clifford, ae 8; Milton, ae 5; Myron, ae 3; a child born the past year) are on expense. Apr. 11, 1898: Hebron to Glastonbury. Elisha Slater, wife & 4 children (Bertie, ae 7; Henry, ae 5; Elizabeth, ae 4; baby, ae 1) are on expense. May 9, 1898: Hebron to Vernon. Mrs. Matilda Phillips died in this town May 7th. May 9, 1898: Hebron to Franklin. Henry R. Hyde & wife are on expense. He is sick and as usual has no pension money. Aug. 9, 1898: Town of Hebron applied to State of Connecticut to have Benjamin W. Palmer, ae 62, declared a state pauper; he claims to be a native of Connecticut. He came to this state July 27, 1898.
