Obit: Elizabeth Ann (Liebman) Baricak, Obituary, June 26, 2001 Source: Journal Inquirer Manchester,CT (issue June 27, 2001) Submitter: ABishop, September 2001 ************************************************************************************************ BARICAK Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (Liebman) Baricak, 83, of Vernon, widow of Milan T. Baricak, passed into eternal rest Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at Vernon Manor Nursing Home with her immediate family at her side. Born July 13, 1917, in Coventry, she was the daughter of the late Andrew E. and Barbara (Veitch) Liebman. She graduated from Manchester High School and after her marriage moved to Putnam, where she raised her grateful family. In late 1955, the family moved to the Baricak Homestead in Ashford, where they lived until recently moving to Vernon to be nearer her entire family. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Nancy and James Wilson of Vernon and Janice and Richard Bickford of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; and a son, Theodore S. Baricak and his wife, Diane, of Ellington. She also has a surviving brother, Andrew E. Liebman of Coventry, and one sister, Helen White of Manchester. A sister-in-law, Antoinette Kuntschke of Hudson, Fla., also survives her. She leaves four grandsons, Scott Cartier and his wife, Diane, of East Hartford, Randall Cartier and his wife, Amy, of Manchester, Robb Guilbault and his wife, Shona, of Vernon, and Matthew Guilbault of East Granby. There are also seven great-grandchildren who she loved very dearly. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, a kind caretaker, and an avid gardener. She was very artistically talented with paintings and needlework, many, many pieces which she made and passed on to her family as gifts. Her sense of humor and positive attitude served us all very well over the years. The funeral procession will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, June 28, from Ladd-Turkington Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Phillip the Apostle Church, 64 Pompey Hollow Road (Route 44), Ashford. Burial will be in St. Phillip Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, June 27, at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to North Central Hospice, 8 Keynote Drive, Vernon, CT 06066. *********************************************** Copyright.
