(Note: Excerpts from Society column) The Trenholm-Edwards Wedding at St. Paul’s Church. A pretty wedding occurred at St. Paul’s Church last night at 8:30 o’clock, when Mr. W. deSaussure Trenholm and Miss Maude M. Edwards were married. The church was appropriately decorated, and the many guests assembled were seated by the six ushers, Mr. William Taylor, Mr. Frank Keys, Dr. Lee Harbin, Mr. Stewart, Mr. Douglass Sims, and Mr. William Henry. At the appointed time the Lohengrin wedding march was played, and the officiating clergymen, Doctor Hardy and Doctor Stuart, of Georgetown, appeared in the chancel with the groom and his brother, Mr. Frank Trenholm, who acted as best man. There were two tiny maids of honor, the sisters of the bride and groom, Ira Edwards and Eila Trenholm, both wearing lovely frocks of white China silk and pale pink velvet, and carrying bunches of LaFrance roses…. Mr. and Mrs. Trenholm departed for a journey through the North on a late train. Upon their return they will reside with the groom’s parents. The marriage of Mr. Harry King and Miss Hattie Rosenthal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.S. Rosenthal, will take place at the Eighth Street Temple at 5 o’clock this afternoon, and will be followed by a dinner and reception at Edel’s Hall. The groom is the son of the well-known proprietor of King’s Palace, and has a host of friends as has also the pretty bride. The wedding will be an elaborate social affair. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Holden were the recipients of many valuable presents last Wednesday as bridal gifts, including a handsome silver tea set from the members of the National Rifles. Mr. and Mrs. Burt (nee Norton) have returned from their wedding journey and have taken rooms on F street, between Twelfth and Thirteenth.
